Oodua Peoples Congress New Era came in their hundreds to endorse the presidential ticket of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the 2nd term bid of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for the 2023 elections. The Yoruba socio-cultural defender group converged on 58/60 Oduduwa Crescent, GRA Ikeja today the 31st January.

The Director General of the Independent Campaign Council for Tinubu-Shetima and Sanwo-Olu-Hamzat Independent Campaign Council (ICC), Mr. Tayo Ayinde thanked the gathering for conducting themselves in such a way that portrayed them as true offsprings of Oduduwa.

He noted that he was happy to see Oodua Peoples Congress New Era supporting the cause of a Yoruba man wanting to be the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Mr. Tayo Ayinde announced to the gathering that a directorate will be inaugurated that will be strictly for Oodua People Congress New Era enclave where their president will hold forth as the director, and the directorate shall have all the units for smooth operations.

The Chairman of the ICC, Cardinal James Odunmbaku said everyone should be prepared to vote massively for the Tinubu/Shettima and Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat Tickets, together with all other APC Candidates across the State.

In a symbolic manner, demonstrating the group’s readiness, Bishop Ehindero handed over Aare Razak Arogundade Sadam to Cardinal James Odunmbaku, the Chairman of the Independent Campaign Council, Director General, Mr. Tayo Ayinde and GAC Member Senator Anthony Adefuye.

The President of Oodua Peoples Congress New Era, Aare RazaK Sadam reiterated that it is now a new era for Oodua Peoples Congress, he says they have decided to stick to the All Progressives Congress agenda. He openly declared the group’s endorsement for the presidential ticket of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the re-election bid of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.

Less than one week after its maiden stakeholders meeting, the Ikorodu Media Forum (IMF), a body of Ikorodu Division based Media Practitioners, Journalists and Bloggers have continued to receive support and endorsement from media stakeholders.

According to its Convener, Omo’ba ‘Peju Akinyemi Founder/CEO of Ikorodu Oga Online Radio the group was established on the tripod of Unity, Professionalism and Welfare of members.

“It is also intended to better the media practice in the Ikorodu Division of Lagos State and to further reposition the media sector in Ikorodu Division”, he stated.

The second stakeholders meeting of the body held on Sunday was well attended by journalists, bloggers and other media professionals on the 29th of January 2023 at the Public Service Club in Ikorodu.

Some of the media outlets that graced the second meeting were stakeholders from; The Factor News Magazine, Blackbox Media, IKD Radio 106.1, Ajasa Info and Ikorodu News Network (INN), while some others who could not attend expressed delight and pledged their support for the newly formed organization.

Underlining its purpose and objectives, the meeting afforded stakeholders the opportunity for cross-fertilization of ideas among themselves.

Com. Japhet Odesanya, Publisher of The Factor News Magazine lauded the initiative, stating that the media sector has come a long way to witness such a unifying forum in Ikorodu Division.

Emphasizing growth and content quality, Com. Odesanya underscored the need for respective media outlets to also elevate their practices by putting more professional touch to their content before circulation.

Urging the Convener to keep the platform open to accommodate more practitioners, Odesanya asserted that the strength tapped from a collective standpoint should never be taken with levity.

Advising the new-media practitioners present, Odesanya continued, “A lot of factors have affected the ethics of journalism today, but fortunately the sector has continued to provide room for inspired individuals to grow their intellectual capacity”.

“Nevertheless, the forum (as an alliance) should create room for constant learning and improvement of its stakeholders, this would give value to the profession we hold with high esteem”.

“I am optimistic this time that, unlike other failed attempts to build a formidable media forum, IMF would set the pace and give the media sector in Ikorodu the value it deserves” Odesanya concluded.

Co-founder of Blackbox Nigeria, Kayode Badmus applauded the vision of IMF, pleading with the Convener to work on modalities that would enhance the welfare economic empowerment of practitioners.

According to Badmus, “the media sector welcomes fresh intellects, but sustaining the outlet is a major challenge which a lot of enterprises suffer from”.

“I expect to reckon that with a forum like IMF, the interest of our profession will be prioritized while our profession is given due recognition it deserves”.

Badmus further urged interested members of the forum to stay committed to the course, adding that the end will always justify the means.

In his closing remarks, Omo’ba Akinyemi thanked the stakeholders for the honour of their presence and for their robust contributions to the success of the initiative.

He noted that the Ikorodu Media Forum (IMF) was an idea whose time has come and would soon become the rallying point of all and sundry.

The Lagos State Chapter of Retirees and Pensioners Association on the 30th January, 2023 made an open declaration in support of the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the second term bid of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu at NECA House, Alausa CBD ,Ikeja.

Prior to the declaration of support, the members of the union had in their hundreds took a walk of about 200 meters in which various banners were displayed showing inscriptions in support of the All Progressives Congress candidates.

Representing the Governor was the Secretary to the State Government Mrs. Folashade Sherifat Jaji who thanked the gathering for deeming it fit to throw their support behind Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
She reminded them of the need for all registered voters to have their PVCs collected.

On her part, Mrs. Ajibola Ponle who is the Commissioner for Establishment, Training and Pensions highlighted the positive impacts the State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu had made and what he is doing in the state in the area of Infrastructural Development, Education, Health, Transportation and many more.

Other speakers were Mr. Kola Peregrino the Deputy Director General who represented Mr. Tayo Ayinde the Director General of Independent Campaign Council. Peregriho attributed the successes recorded in Lagos State as the brainchild of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He submitted that Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has truly performed beyond expectations since he assumed office three and half years ago.

Furthermore, the Chairman of Nigeria Labour Union Lagos State chapter Ms Agnes Sesi addressed the gathering in a more pragmatic way, saying the Lagos State workers remain far ahead their counterparts across the country in terms of governmental support. She was bold on this because according to her, she compares notes from time to time with other states’ Labour Union leaders. She, therefore, urged the pensioners to vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president and work for the re-election bid of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.

Also, in his remarks, the Chairman of Nigeria Union of Pensioners Lagos State enclave Rev. Remi Johnson acknowledged the steadfast commitment of government to the plight of pensioners. He advised all his colleagues – pensioners to get their Permanent Voter Card (PVCs) and vote for the candidates of All Progressives Congress in the coming elections.

Visitation was made to the Lagos State Rehabilitation and Vocational centre which was accompanied by life coping talks and how to continue life after the Rehab taken by the Guest Speaker, Mr Oluwatosin Adesegha, donation of stationaries, toiletries and value cards was also included to improve their thinking and mind.

The mental outreach is the maiden edition and one of her program targeted at improving the mental health of young people.

The Omo Ologo Team; a popular and recognized political support group under All Progressive Congress (APC) in Imota Local Council Development Area, Ikorodu, Lagos yesterday dated Sunday, 29th of January, 2023 played the host of APC stakeholders at her general meeting in Imota ahead of the 2023 General Elections.

The meeting was tagged: special general meeting which was coming for the second time in this year recorded the presence of grounded and rooted politicians, political leaders and stakeholders that collectively ascent to the good works Omo Ologo Team had been doing for the progress and development of APC in Imota LCDA, and they further pledge their total support for the victory of all the party candidates from National to the State level.

The meeting had in attendance the Imota LGA Party Chairman, Hon. Ramoni Akinyemi disclosed that massive votes that would be coming from the entirety of Imota on February 25 and March 11 respectively would be used to appreciate the present APC government for installing the biggest Rice Mill factory in Africa in Imota. He further elucidated on the advantage of creation of Imota LCDA which was done by APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu during his time as Governor of Lagos State.

The APC Party Helmsman, Hon. Ramoni went further to charge the leadership of Omo Ologo Team to double their efforts to surpassed previous votes as BVAS does not give room for malpractice.

Hon. Ramoni concluded that “I commend the efforts of the team and advise all the members of Omo Ologo Team to vote and vote correctly for APC. He encouraged them to continue participating in both Ward and LGA Meetings.

Speaking at the special general meeting, Rev (Col) Dr. Bolaji Titilola Onafowokan (Rtd), the Life Patron of Omo Ologo Team and an APC Apex Leader in Ikorodu Division, informed all the members that with existence of Omo Ologo Team in the political scheme of Imota LCDA, it is evident that the future of this community with this set of youth is bright. While addressing the meeting, Chief Yisa Bakare Agoro, Special Adviser to Omo Ologo Team in Ward A who also doubles as one of the party leaders in Imota LCDA congratulates the team for a job well done. The charged that whole efforts should translate into massive voting on the election day. He added that the house-2-house campaign should be intensified.

Also speaking at the event is Olumide Adeleke Shofowora, General Coordinator of Omo Ologo Team in his welcome address made it known that the special general meeting was sacrosanct for Omo Ologo to prepared her members to work for the victory of all candidates of the APC. The Abiola Mandate Group has endorsed the presidential candidacy of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and declared their full support for Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu on his second term bid as Governor of Lagos State during a press conference organized by the group in the homestead of the late business mogul and politician Aare Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola on MKO Abiola Crescent, off Toyin Street, Ikeja today 28th January,2023.

The chairman of Abiola Mandate Group Alhaji Olalekan Abiola pronounced the group endorsement of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential bid and Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s second term bid while addressing the press in the presence of family members, members of the Abiola Mandate Group, and the representatives of the leadership of Independent Campaign Council for Tinubu-Shetima and Sanwo-Olu-Hamzat.



He emphasized that the Mandate Group structure shall work in tandem with the ICC across Lagos State and Nigeria at large.

Alhaji Olalekan Abiola said that his father was a progressive during his life time. He submitted that his father ran for the presidency of the country, though he won but was not given the mandate.

He went further to eulogize Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s examplary life of love to people from all clans in the country. He stated once again that Asiwaju Tinubu was a staunch follower of his father.

On his part, the Director of Grassroots Engagement Directorate of Independent Campaign Council for Tinubu/Shettima and Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat, Hon. Abdulbaq Ladi Balogun who led the ICC delegates to the venue described Basorun M K O Abiola as a Great Leader who inspired the current national leader and the presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be a rugged lover of the masses. He noted that what Asiwaju had done in Lagos during his 8 years as governor shall be replicated in Nigeria.

The Chairperson Ikorodu North LCDA, Mrs Afolashade Banjo yesterday received women from all walks of life in Ikorodu North LCDA and beyond to a praise and worship thanksgiving service to bless the name of God for His mercies and privilege to witness the year 2023.

The colourful event held at the heart of Ikorodu North at the Fun factory event centre, Itamaga. Name-able personalities such as Mrs Jumoke Benson, Mrs Toyin Salau, wives of fellow Executive Chairmen, Supervisors & HODs for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation of various LCDAs in Ikorodu division, party faithfuls and well wishers stormed the venue gaily dressed in different styles of the “Aso Ebi” ankara fabric for the event.

The Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA stole the show when he walked into the event with a “mighty” orange and white cake to celebrate the wife of Honourable Babajimi Benson whose birthday was the day before yesterday.

Prayers were offered for the nation, Lagos state and Ikorodu division while praise and worship reached high heavens.

The Chairperson, Ikorodu North LCDA Mrs Afolashade Banjo, Mrs Jumoke Benson, Mrs Toyin Salau among other guests encouraged the women to ensure they all get their PVCs to vote all candidates of the All Progressives Congress candidates in the coming general elections.

The All Progressives Congress Lagos East Senatorial District has advised every members of the party in the district to work hard and canvass for the all the candidates of the party from Presidents to Lagos State House of Assembly.
The meeting took place on Thursday at the CMD Hall, Magodo, in Kosofe Federal Constituency.

Senator Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Committee in Lagos urged the gathering to work for the victory of all APC candidates in Lagos East Senatorial District.

Otunba Bushura Alebiosu, Senator Anthony Adefuye, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, Omooba Shosanya, Alhaji Seriki Bamu and other Leaders urge the gathering to work for all the APC candidates, and canvass for them in their areas.

Otunba Yetunde Arobieke Commissioner for Wealth Creation Lagos state in her remarks she mentioned the role the Lagos State Governor took during took during the COVID 19 how he helped lots of business owners to survive the season.

She also talked about pillars of the T.H.E.M.E.S. development agenda of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Since the assumption of Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu in office he has maintained and sustained the achievements of the former Governors good work in the state.

Mrs. Kafilat Ogbara House of Representatives candidate Kosofe Federal Constituency in her remarks, “this coming is not just an ordinary election it is Lagos state election as we have the Presidential candidate our father Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu from Lagos state, and our target is four million votes, this has made house to commence house to house, person to person campaign, I will urge our teeming supporters out there to vote all APC candidates in the forthcoming election.”
